Personal Views:  As Port Commissioner I have built a reputation as a public servant dedicated to delivering real results for Pierce County. Together with labor and business partners, I continue to seek innovative ways to attract business opportunities and jobs by building new strategic relationships.  I have supported and delivered sound fiscal policies that have resulted in the Port having strong fiscal strength to weather the current economic downturn and which will provide sustainable growth for the future.  I hold the line on taxes and strongly support the Port's efforts for environmental cleanup and improved air and water quality.
